Job summary

Forge Talent in the United Kingdom is seeking an ambitious Finance Manager to lead a broad finance remit within a fast-growing manufacturing environment. You will own core financial reporting and have influence on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and strategic projects.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner with senior leaders, deliver KPI reporting, and drive improvements in controls and processes, with clear progression toward senior finance leadership as the business scales.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA finalist or qualified
• Strong technical accounting and management accounting experience
• Ready to step into broader Finance Manager role with ownership
• Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge and influence
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Proactive and keen to develop their career
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Manufacturing experience would be beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Ownership of month-end process and monthly management accounts
• P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting with detailed reconciliations
• Providing commercial analysis, variance analysis and KPI reporting
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
• Preparing board packs and financial reporting for senior stakeholders
• Managing financial controls, processes and continuous improvement
• Cash flow management and working capital in partnership with FD
• Supporting investment and other strategic projects as the business grows
• Managing auditors and supporting annual audit process
• Business partnering with operational and senior leadership teams
• Providing financial insight to drive business performance
• Taking on increasing responsibility across the finance function as the business scales

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, ambitious business at an important stage of its development. The business has strong backing, ambitious growth plans and a leadership team focused on building a high-performing organisation for the long term.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll have a broad remit across finance and the wider business. This is a hands-on Finance Manager position where you'll have genuine ownership, influence and the opportunity to contribute to key commercial decisions as the business continues to grow.

The role offers considerably more exposure than a traditional Finance Manager position. Alongside owning core financial reporting, you'll be involved in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, commercial analysis, business performance and strategic projects, giving you the opportunity to develop into a senior finance leader as the business scales.

It's particularly well suited to an ambitious qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant who wants to take ownership of a finance function, broaden their commercial experience and work in an environment where they can make a visible impact.

The Role

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist
