Job summary

Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Blaenavon for an experienced Finance Manager to join their busy finance team. This permanent, full-time role is office-based with a salary between £45,000 and £55,000 DOE.

The Finance Manager will own key financial processes, work closely with senior management, and provide insight to support strategic business decisions. Located in Blaenavon, the position offers stability and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience in Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Company Accountant roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience using Sage 50.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Profit & loss reporting and financial analysis
• Budget preparation and variance reporting
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• VAT returns and financial compliance
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Credit control and debtor management
• General ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations
• Payroll processing
• Preparation of weekly and monthly supplier and contractor payment runs
• Providing financial reporting and insight to support business performance

Permanent | Full-Time | Office-Based

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Profit & loss reporting and financial analysis
• Budget preparation and variance reporting
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• VAT returns and financial compliance
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Credit control and debtor management
• General ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations

What We're Looking For

• AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA part‑qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Company Accountant position
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience using Sage 50
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday: 08:15 - 17:00
• Friday: 08:15 - 15:00
