Job summary

Candour Talent are recruiting a Finance Manager to join our client based in Blaenavon.

This permanent, full-time role (Mon-Fri) offers a salary circa £45-55k DOE and involves producing monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and day-to-day financial operations while gaining a full operational overview of the office and sales department.

Qualifications

• AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in financial management within a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
• Ongoing review of cash flow and VAT calculation and payment.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and handle payroll, G/L, bank reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly & monthly payment schedules for suppliers and contractors.

Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our client based in Blaenavon.

• Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time
• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Salary: Circa £45-55k DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance/Accounts Person to join our client's small busy Accounts team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting to produce monthly management accounts to working deadlines, along with providing the management team with financial analysis reports. The candidate will also be required to assist with the day-to-day financial operations and to gain a full operational overview of the office and sales department with the view to progress to Head of the Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
• Ongoing review of cash flow
• Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
• Work includes accounts payable/receivable, credit control, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Preparation of weekly & monthly payment schedules for supplier and contractor payments

Candidate Requirements

• AAT qualified/part or fully qualified ACA or ACCA. Candidates who consider themselves to be qualified by experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience in financial management within a similar role.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• A good knowledge of Sage 50
• Ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Hours of work: 8.15am - 5.00pm Monday - Thursday, and 8.15am - 3.00pm Friday

£45-55K Salary dependent on experience.
