Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Finance Data Engineer in the UKI practice to design and operate the finance data and ontology layer used by AI-enabled solutions. You will build semantic models, data contracts, and secure data services sourced from live ERP/EPM systems, enabling auditable agent behavior and production-ready capabilities.

You will work with Azure/AWS/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake and related tooling, ensuring lineage, data quality, and governance while collaborating with finance SMEs and AI

Qualifications

• Production data engineering with SQL and Python on modern data platforms.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data testing, Git and CI/CD; PySpark or dbt is beneficial.
• Knowledge of finance data structures like chart of accounts and consolidation.
• Experience extracting data from ERP/operational systems via APIs/files/database interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the finance data ontology and vocabulary.
• Ingest data from SAP, Oracle, Workday and EPM platforms into governed data products.
• Develop entity-resolution and master data capabilities across source systems.
• Establish data lineage, quality checks, audits, and observability for finance data products.
• Define data contracts between delivery pods and client platforms.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on retrieval and grounding for AI models.
• Apply security and privacy controls across the data lifecycle.
• Deliver software and DataOps practices including CI/CD and IaC where relevant.
