Job summary

Accenture UKI Finance RP is seeking a Finance Data Scientist to advance forecasting capabilities across planning and performance management. You will work with complex enterprise data, building models that support CFO-level decisions and strategic resource allocation.

The role combines statistical rigor with finance-domain insight, collaborating with data engineers and FP&A stakeholders to productionize models, monitor performance, and explain results to senior leaders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Depth in time series and forecasting methods including seasonality and regressors.
• Proficient with Python data stack and production-ready pipelines.
• Strong forecast evaluation, back-testing and bias metrics.
• Experience with large multi-source datasets and data quality checks.
• Ability to explain model behavior to finance stakeholders.
• Ability to align models with FP&A calendars and adoption workflows.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Build forecasting models on client financial and operational data using diverse ML methods.
• Prepare and validate multi-source data and engineer drivers across geographies and cost centers.
• Design back-testing and time-series cross-validation with transparent benchmarks.
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to CFO-level standards.
• Produce variance explanations and commentary for FP&A reviews.
• Integrate models into planning cycles and EPM platforms with pipelines and deployment.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers on forecasting workflows and governance.
• Document methods, data, assumptions, and validation evidence.
