Job summary

BACB, a UK bank focused on trade finance, seeks a Senior Financial Control professional to lead reporting, month-end and statutory obligations while supporting the finance data project. You will drive complex reporting, review disclosures, and help strengthen controls as the bank implements data solutions.

Based in City of London with hybrid work: 3 days onsite, 2 from home, on a 9-month fixed-term basis. You will collaborate with audit, risk and IT to deliver accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant ACA or ACCA with IFRS expertise.
• Strong controls background with external/internal audit experience.
• Knowledge of data lineage and finance data projects.
• Experience with finance transformation or data enrichment.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Support year-end statutory reporting and compliance.
• Review financial results, reconciliations and journals.
• Assist with audit requests and external auditors.
• Support the finance data warehouse implementation and testing.
• Champion control framework across finance reporting processes.
