Wade Macdonald is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a growing professional services client in Central London. Working with the Head of Finance, you will lead the finance function, ensure robust reporting, strong controls and nurture a high-performing team.

This hands-on role offers opportunities to influence processes, support strategic decision‑making and drive business improvements across systems and controls while maintaining compliance and audit readiness.

Qualificações

• ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong background in financial reporting, management accounting and team leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems knowledge.
• Experience overseeing payroll, audits and statutory compliance.
• Experience in professional services, especially project accounting or revenue recognition is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage monthly close, deliver management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
• Oversee accounts payable, invoicing and credit control processes.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts, review performance and provide variance commentary.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting and internal controls.
• Coordinate outsourced payroll arrangements and payroll tax reporting.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE and statutory reporting including Companies House obligations.
• Provide financial insight to senior stakeholders and support audits.
