Job summary

Wade Macdonald is assisting an established organisation in London in appointing a Senior Management Accountant. The role focuses on delivering reliable financial information, maintaining strong controls and close collaboration with the Financial Controller to drive improvements across the finance function.

You will manage month-end and quarter-end processes, produce insightful analyses and support external audits while guiding junior team members and upholding governance standards.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified with strong background in management accounting.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience supporting external audits is essential; analytical and meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly and quarterly close activities and deliver accurate results.
• Produce and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support Financial Controller to reinforce governance and maintain control records.
• Develop cash flow projections and assess performance against expectations.
• Deliver quarterly financial analysis and commentary across P&L and balance sheet.
• Assist with external audit processes and respond to information requests.
• Compile data to support corporation tax and VAT reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance and review outputs of junior accounting colleagues.
• Ensure practices align with Group policies and accounting regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and strengthen controls.
