Are you a spreadsheet whizz who loves detail and thrives under pressure? We're looking for a sharp, organised and proactive Finance Business Support Officer to support a buzzing finance team and make a real impact across education and schools services!

As a Finance Business Support Officer, you’ll:

• Take the lead on monthly school advances and ensure timely, accurate payments
• Handle finance queries like a pro — logging, solving and escalating as needed
• Gather and analyse VAT and finance data for returns and reporting
• Liaise confidently with schools, council teams and third-party partners
• Keep financial records in line with audit and compliance expectations
• Play a key part in process improvements and smarter ways of working

You’ll likely be someone who:

• Has experience in a finance-related environment — especially payments/admin
• Is confident using Excel and handling large volumes of financial data
• Thrives in a fast-paced setting and can prioritise conflicting deadlines
• Brings great attention to detail and a customer-first mindset
• Enjoys resolving queries and working with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Is keen to grow and continuously improve their finance skills
