As a Business Support Officer, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to senior leaders, ensuring smooth operations within the Finance/Treasury/Risk & Insurance teams. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our dynamic team within the UK Support Function (UKSF), and to support the Finance/Treasury/Risk & Insurance teams. The UKSF provides support to senior leadership and their teams and are based across our UK sites.
Salary: Circa £28,000 dependant on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Full time role (37 hours), 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our dynamic team within the UK Support Function (UKSF), and to support the Group Central Finance Board - Group Treasurer and Group Head of Risk & Insurance, Group Tax Director and Group Finance Director – International and Group Head of Planning and Reporting.
As a Business Support Officer you will provide administrative and operational support, and will be a central point of contact to internal and external stakeholders, playing a vital role in the success of the department you will be supporting. Within the UKSF we pride ourselves on high levels of team spirit and creating an inclusive environment where our teams can develop and thrive!
Providing core support to numerous managers (in brief):
Extensive complex diary management
Extensive complex international and domestic travel booking
Complex expenses
Coordination of briefing notes, presentations, instructions, visitor passes, etc. for face to face meetings and engagements
Organising internal/external team events/workshops/lunches/sites visits - Travel to certain events will be required
Organising complex meetings, be available to participate when required and take and manage actions
Management of email inboxes – sending emails on their behalf
The role requires a high level of accountability, integrity, resilience and the ability to work within a team
Understanding and utilising MBDA tools and systems - i.e. SAP, EPROC, SELF IT, PLANON, ONEHR, JIRA and other specialist tools and databases
Tasks may be varied and ad-hoc in scope
Prioritisation of work and adaptability will be required
Stakeholder engagement; managing/building relationships with senior leaders in Finance and across the business and interfacing with key bankers and insurers
Working with international/multinational teams
Liaison with 4 non exec directors
Proactive and progressive attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Assertiveness and resilience to ensure business changes are managed effectively
Forward thinking
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Word documents accurately
GIFTS & Hospitality support
Donations & Sponsorship support
Comms & engagement activities (WeLink communities, Intranet updates, communications flow down)
Added value and enhanced Finance activities
Participation in UK Support Function initiatives and personal development initiatives
The Role:
Will be based in our Stevenage office, however, flexibility to travel to other sites will be required
Provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive PA support to the senior leaders of the UK Group Central Finance Board
