Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance team. Based at Dykebar Hospital, this full-time permanent role supports budgeting, reporting and governance across multiple services to drive high-quality financial information and patient care.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, AAT qualification or equivalent experience in an accountancy or finance-related discipline.
• Advanced IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans for a range of service areas.
• Produce monthly financial reports, analyse variances and provide advice to budget holders.
• Assist with forecasting financial performance and monitoring budgets against agreed targets.
• Prepare income reconciliations, monitor funding streams and support financial control processes.
• Provide financial information, costing exercises and analysis to support operational decision making.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting tools.
• Deliver guidance and training to non-finance staff to promote effective financial management.
