Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant with a developing accountancy qualification. You will support the Finance team with month-end tasks, VAT/CIS returns and statutory reporting to deadlines.

The role involves reconciling General Ledger accounts, assisting with production of statutory accounts and regular reporting to the Head of Financial Accounts. NHS context and governance underpin daily work.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a finance department or NHS setting.
• Understanding of double entry principles and year-end procedures.
• Comfort with preparing VAT, CIS, NHS Pension and miscellaneous returns.

Aufgaben

• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
• Prepare returns to NHS Improvement, DHSC and HMRC.
• Reconcile control accounts and production journals for reconciling items.
