Job description

Description: NES Fircroft is partnering with a client in Sheffield who is seeking a Finance Assistant for a contract role.

This role is crucial in managing the company's VAT, PSA, and other taxes. It supports the treasury department and serves as the main contact for all expenses. The successful candidate will assist ICC with reconciliations and resolving issues promptly.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage 10 internal and 3 external bank accounts
• Upload FX rates daily, allocate and post cash receipts
• Be the first point of contact for cash-related inquiries
• Support treasury with FX deals
• Coordinate with project managers on FX deal actions
• Process IC recharges (Group Fees) and ad hoc charges
• Complete month-end journals
• Assist with overseas VAT reporting
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support the business

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in SAP, VAT, and banking
• Working towards or completed AAT studies
• Experience preparing manual journals
• Experience reconciling bank statements
• Knowledge of UK taxes and Intrastats
• Ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently
• Teamwork experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Five GCSEs grades A-C or equivalent
