Job summary

The Lygon Arms in Broadway, Worcestershire, is inviting applications for a Finance Assistant to join our on-site finance team. This fully office-based role focuses on income auditing, revenue reconciliation, and month-end reporting across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events and Spa.

You'll work closely with operational teams and the central Finance Team to safeguard revenue integrity. Ideal candidates have experience in accounts or hotel finance, strong numerical skills, and good Excel ability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts, finance, audit or hotel finance
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable investigating discrepancies and identifying solutions
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile daily revenue across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, Spa and other income streams
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances and exceptions
• Prepare revenue reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting
• Ensure compliance with company controls, audit requirements and revenue procedures
• Review credit card settlements, deposits and balance sheet reconciliations
• Work closely with operational departments to resolve revenue queries and improve processes
• Support continuous improvement projects and system enhancements
• Collaborate with the wider Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

The Lygon Arms is one of the UK's most iconic luxury hotels, located in Broadway, in the Cotswolds, and renowned for combining historic charm with exceptional guest experiences.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Finance Assistant to join our team at The Lygon Arms.

This is a fully office-based role located at The Lygon Arms, Broadway, Worcestershire (WR12 7DU). Please note that remote or hybrid working is not available for this position.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional, accounts assistant, auditor, or hotel finance specialist who enjoys working with numbers, improving processes, and ensuring financial accuracy. You will play a key role in protecting revenue integrity across the hotel while working closely with both our on-site operational teams and the wider Iconic Hotels & Resorts Central Finance Team.

You will be responsible for income auditing, revenue reconciliation, financial controls, accounts support, and financial reporting across the hotel, helping to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting operational decision-making.

About You

• A proactive team player with strong communication skills
• Hospitality finance experience is advantageous but not essential
