Job summary

The Lygon Arms, a landmark luxury hotel in the Cotswolds, is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead our Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and In-Room Dining outlets. You will inspire your team, drive commercial performance and ensure memorable guest experiences across all touchpoints.

Reporting to the F&B Operations Manager, you will influence standards, develop your people and deliver exceptional service in a historically rich setting. Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of our Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and In-Room Dining outlets. You will be responsible for inspiring and developing your team, driving commercial performance and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction at every touchpoint.

As a key leader within the hotel, you'll have the autonomy to influence standards, develop your people and make a real impact on the guest journey.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and motivating a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service.
• Creating memorable guest experiences that encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction, including NPS scores, 7Rooms feedback and online reviews, and implementing continuous improvements.
• Driving revenue growth through exceptional service, upselling and commercial awareness.
• Managing labour costs, stock control and departmental profitability.
• Coaching, developing and retaining talented team members.
• Building strong relationships across the hotel to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness and operational excellence.
• Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and licensing requirements.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role within a quality hospitality environment.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Strong people management and coaching skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, payroll and stock control.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
