Job description

We are seeking an efficient, reliable, and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Assistant to support the smooth running of our school’s financial and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the day-to-day financial administration, including processing invoices, purchase orders, and petty cash.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting budget monitoring.
• Supporting payroll processes and staff absence tracking.
• Assisting with procurement, supplier communication, and contract management.
• Supporting health & safety, premises management, and school compliance tasks.
• Helping with general administrative duties as needed across the school office.


About You
• Experienced in finance, bookkeeping, or administrative support (ideally in a school or public sector setting).
• Organised, accurate, and confident with numbers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with SIMS / Arbor/FMS or other school systems is a plus.
• A strong communicator who works well in a team and with external stakeholders.
• Trustworthy, discreet, and committed to safeguarding and confidentiality.
