Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Group Finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract. You will prepare and post journals, run reconciliations and support cost management across divisions.

You'll work with Oracle, GFAS and other finance tools, delivering robust financial controls and timely MI for cost centre managers. AAT/ACCA/CIMA in progress and strong Excel/BI skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate or in-progress toward AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Understanding of accounting processes and principles.
• Experience working independently in fast-paced environment.
• Excel and MS Office; Power BI familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily and month-end journals in Oracle.
• Complete financial reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Calculate and post third-party cross-charges across divisions.
• Process journal requests and produce management information.
• Analyse ledger postings and resolve queries with stakeholders.
• Maintain financial controls in line with standards and regulation.
• Process cashbook journals, credit notes and payments; assist ledger maintenance.
• Support system development and wider process improvements.
