Legal & General (L&G) is recruiting a Finance Assistant to join our Non-Insurance Financial Reporting team in Group Finance. You do not need prior finance experience; we value willingness to learn, attention to detail and clear communication.

You’ll gain practical experience across financial reporting, reconciliations, journals and audits while working with supportive colleagues and gradually taking on more responsibility as your knowledge grows.

Qualifikationen

• Genuine interest in learning finance and financial reporting.
• Good attention to detail and careful approach to tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident in asking questions and seeking support when needed.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Organised and reliable with deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools, especially Excel.

Aufgaben

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for non-insurance entities.
• Prepare reconciliations, analyses, schedules and journals.
• Post journals per processes with evidence and approvals.
• Gather information and resolve straightforward reporting queries.
• Support external audit requests with evidence and documentation.
• Respond to routine reporting and system queries with guidance.
• Assist with testing and data gathering for finance changes.
• Share observations and contribute to process improvements.
