Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Non-Insurance Financial Reporting team in Group Finance. You don’t need prior finance experience; a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and good communication are valued as you gain practical experience across reporting, accounting and audits.

You will work with supportive colleagues and progressively take on greater responsibility as your knowledge grows, with exposure to journal postings, reconciliations and audit support within

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for non-insurance legal entities.
• Prepare reconciliations, analyses, supporting schedules and journals.
• Post journals in line with agreed processes and approvals.
• Gather information and investigate straightforward reporting queries.
• Support external audit requests with evidence and documentation.
• Respond to routine reporting and systems queries with guidance from the team.
• Assist with testing, documentation and data gathering for finance change activity.
• Share observations and contribute to process improvements.
