Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is assisting a Portsmouth-based commercial organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Analyst to join the established finance team. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting and providing financial insight to support decision-making.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, develop financial models and deliver accurate management information across multiple markets. Hybrid working and London-based office presence are part of the arrangement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a financial analysis, management accounting or FP&A role within a complex commercial environment.
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information and build financial models.
• A finance or accounting degree, or relevant finance qualification, would be advantageous.
• A commercially focused approach, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and review of budgets, monthly forecasts and financial plans.
• Analysing financial performance, identifying trends, variances and areas for improvement.
• Working closely with commercial teams to understand sales performance, challenge forecasts and provide financial insight.
• Producing financial reports, management information and presentations to support business decisions.
• Developing and maintaining financial models to assist with forecasting, scenario planning and longer-term business objectives.
• Liaising with wider finance teams to ensure consistent, accurate and timely financial reporting.

Working within a busy and collaborative finance function, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of business areas, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting financial planning and reporting across multiple markets.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?
