Job summary

Investigo is seeking a commercially aware and analytically minded finance professional to join a growing finance team in Leicester. The role covers reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering to provide insight for informed decision-making.

You will work across operational and commercial finance, supporting month-end processes, KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with stakeholders throughout the business.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience finance professional.
  • Previous experience within a finance, reporting, commercial finance, FP&A, management accounting or financial analysis role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience producing financial reports, reconciliations and performance analysis.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
  • Confident handling and interpreting large volumes of data.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience with finance systems, ERP platforms or reporting tools would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare regular financial reports, analysis and performance commentary to support decision-making.
  • Produce variance analysis, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities across revenue, costs and profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.
  • Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial reviews.
  • Analyse operational, commercial and financial data to provide meaningful business insight.
  • Prepare KPI reporting and performance dashboards for management teams.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting outputs.
  • Ensure reporting is produced in a consistent, accurate and timely manner.
  • Investigate anomalies and reconcile data from multiple sources.
  • Assist with statutory, management and group reporting requirements.
  • Support the development and improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting tools.
  • Work with stakeholders across finance and non-finance functions to improve understanding of business performance.
  • Contribute to automation, simplification and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and reporting requirements.

Job description

This role will support a range of financial reporting, analysis, forecasting and business partnering activities, helping provide insight into performance and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

The position offers exposure to both operational and commercial finance, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work across reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and process improvement activities while partnering with stakeholders throughout the business.
