What you will be doing?

As a Sewer Technician in Water Recycling Services, you will play a key role in safeguarding the environment and public health by maintaining and repairing our sewer network. Your responsibilities include addressing issues such as blockages, odours, flooding, and incidents, and providing excellent customer service while complying with environmental regulations.

You will be part of our standby roster, ready to work out of hours to ensure continuous service. Safety is a priority, and you will follow health and safety protocols diligently.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a high-pressure water jetting unit and CCTV equipment, with training provided
• Investigating sewer issues and proposing first-time resolutions
• Responding to incidents and performing planned maintenance
• Recording feedback and data accurately using IT systems
• Working predominantly alone, engaging with internal and external customers daily

What does it take to be a Sewer Technician?

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; hands-on/manual experience is beneficial
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Excellent customer service skills
• Full driving license; a 4.5-tonne license is advantageous (training will be provided if needed)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, with restrictions on weight (max 113 kg) and occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
