Job summary

West Country Tool Co Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to grow the engineering tooling business across an established territory. You will visit customer sites, understand machining challenges, and work with our technical and commercial team to deliver solutions that boost productivity and performance.

You will develop existing accounts and actively seek new opportunities, supported by leading suppliers and a broader team. A driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, CNC machining, tooling or technical industrial sales.
• Knowledge of machining/manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Commercially driven with ability to grow existing accounts and win new business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an established territory, growing sales across existing engineering and manufacturing accounts.
• Identify, target and win new business opportunities within the territory.
• Visit customer sites regularly to understand machining processes, production challenges and performance goals.
• Recommend and demonstrate tooling and cutting tool solutions to improve productivity, cost and quality.
• Run trials and technical demonstrations with customers, measuring and presenting results.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver the right solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with machine operators through to purchasing managers.
