Job summary

Precision People is seeking an Area Sales Manager in the UK South West to drive new business in the machine tool sector. After training, you will work from home, visiting sites across the South West and managing key accounts.

Ideal candidates have background in machine tool or cutting tool sales, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach. The role offers a £50k base salary with OTE up to £90k+, plus company car, laptop and phone.

Qualifications

• Experience in Machine Tool Sales or Cutting Tool Sales.
• Self-motivated and hungry to forge a career in machine tool sales.
• Professional and well presented.
• Articulate and commercially aware.
• Confident and effective communicator.
• Ability to communicate technically.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of the machine tool industry.

Responsibilities

• Contact potential customers by phone and visit on-site across the South West.
• Generate new sales and grow existing and lapsed accounts.
• Prepare sales forecasts, follow up leads, analysing and summarising sales data.
• Produce and maintain accurate CRM reports.
• Provide feedback on products and activity.
• Report to the managing director and UK sales manager.
• Sales training provided.
