Camlin require a confident, capable, technically minded individual with an engineering background to join the Customer field support team. The successful candidate can expect to join a highly motivated team of customer focused engineers who work at the forefront of electricity network system innovation.

The day-to-day role will be a mix of field-based maintenance, customer technical support tasks and scheduled maintenance within the Customer Service Centre Coventry. It also includes preparing field reports, assessing product performance, and maintaining effective communication, with a focus on safety and quality.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  • Field Based Maintenance: Carrying out maintenance tasks on a range of devices within customer premises throughout the UK.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: When not in the field, this role is based in Camlin Customer Service Centre in Coventry carrying out repairs and maintenance on customer devices in support of contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Travel & Engagement: Expect to travel within the UK, potentially including night stays, to support customer engagement and training needs.
  • Reporting & Documentation: You'll be responsible for preparing field reports and documentation on a timely basis.
  • Performance Assessment: You'll assess product and equipment performance based on field data and recommend modifications or improvements.
  • Technical Support: You'll provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and concise business communication, both written and oral. • Health and Safety: Always adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Training: Full training will be provided on the job. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong electronic and electrical knowledge and maintain high technical level of product knowledge. They must be team oriented, flexible and actively seek to share information and assist their peers.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering HNC/HND or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in providing engineering field services or prior experience within an electrical utility or similar industry.
  • Must possess a strong safety mind-set.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact confidently with customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours with multiple weeknights away
