Job summary

Home Instead Yeovil is seeking a Field Care Supervisor to support clients and Care Professionals, ensuring safe, compassionate care aligned with regulatory requirements. The role involves leading in domiciliary care, mentoring staff, and coordinating with management across sites.

The position requires leadership experience, strong communication, and a willingness to travel. An Enhanced DBS is expected, and the team offers progression opportunities and on-site parking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments, reviews and quality assurance visits.
• Carry out care professional introductions, spot checks and supervisions.
• Perform observations and competency assessments.
• Mentor and support Care Professionals in the field.
• Ensure accurate care records and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with clients and families.
• Support safeguarding and compliance processes.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators and management.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota to advise and support.

As a Field Care Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting both our clients and Care Professionals. Working alongside the office team, you will help ensure care is delivered safely, compassionately, and in line with regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Key Tasks

• Conducting client assessments, reviews, and quality assurance visits.
• Completing Care Professional introductions, spot checks, and supervisions.
• Carrying out observations and competency assessments.
• Supporting and mentoring Care Professionals in the field.
• Ensuring accurate care records and documentation are maintained.
• Building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Supporting safeguarding and compliance processes.
• Working closely with the Care Coordinators and management team.
• Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota, providing advice and support to clients and Care Professionals when required.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven leadership experience within domiciliary care
• Previous experience within domiciliary care.
• Experience supervising or supporting care teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, professional, and proactive approach
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services. A valid Category B driving license is agenuine occupational requirementfor this role due tothe need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
• Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS
