Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician (Maintenance) in Bristol, UK on a casual worker (zero-hours) contract. The role involves on-road and customer-site work with a pay of £17 per hour. A full valid UK driving licence is required to travel between sites.

The technician will maintain installations, diagnose hardware and software issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure service levels and documentation are up to date. Nights and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience in field service or installation.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for extended work periods and site visits.
• Excellent attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors and customers.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware; diagnose issues and configure per standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records using company tools.
• Attend installations during night hours as required.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves and fixtures per plan.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
