Job summary

Kornit Digital is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the United Kingdom (preferably based in Birmingham). The role involves installing and validating Kornit systems, delivering operator training, and performing maintenance and fault-finding both on-site and remotely.

Strong problem-solving, Windows proficiency, and a willingness to travel up to 70% are essential. UK driving licence is required; relocation/visa support is not offered.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
• Minimum 5 years experience in field engineering servicing complex electro-mechanical devices.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% (including overseas).
• Knowledge of the digital printing industry and RIP/colour management is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, Windows proficiency, and strong communication skills.
• UK driving licence; based in the UK; Birmingham preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installations and verify functionality of Kornit systems, including unpacking and configuring components.
• Deliver training to print operators and maintenance staff on operation and maintenance basics.
• Perform general maintenance and adjust according to manuals.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and replace worn parts; fault-finding and repairs on-site or remotely as required.
• Return defective parts per Kornit policy.
• Apply upgrades and product modifications as implemented by the product line.
• Provide first-level support to customers via phone and remote tools; log files and adjust settings.
• Participate in support hotline coverage, including extended hours as scheduled.
• Document activities using Salesforce service modules.
• Liaise with the Service Coordinator and Hotline Support Engineer on ongoing cases.
• Escalate cases to the Technical/Service Manager with IFRs, COIs, etc.
• Promote Kornit service offerings such as contracts and maintenance programs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
