Job summary

Kornit Digital is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the UK (Central UK, Birmingham area). The role involves installing Kornit systems, delivering operator training, and performing maintenance and fault-finding both on-site and remotely.

The candidate should have a technical degree and 5+ years in field engineering, with willingness to travel up to 70% and strong English communication. UK domicile and driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in field engineering servicing complex electro-mechanical devices.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 70% of the time, including overseas.
• Knowledge of digital printing, inkjet technology, RIP/colour management, materials/ink/chemicals is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installations and verify functionality of new Kornit systems per factory standards.
• Deliver training to print operators and maintenance staff on machine operation and maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance, configuration and adjustment as required per manuals.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and perform fault-finding and repairs as described in manuals (on-site or remote).
• Return defective parts and apply upgrades/modifications as implemented by product line.
• Provide 1st level support to customers via phone and remote tools; use remote control and log retrieval.
• Participate in support hotline coverage and extended service hours per schedule.
• Document activities in Salesforce service modules; liaise with Service Coordinator and escalate when needed.
• Promote Kornit service offerings such as service contracts and maintenance programs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
