Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, repair, and support its security screening systems across the North West, North East and Midlands regions.

You will work with X-ray, CT, Checkpoint and Trace Detection technologies, travel to airports, government facilities and other sites, provide onsite and remote support, complete service documentation, and collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical/mechanical systems.
• Strong communication with customers and documentation.
• Willingness to travel across regions as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair Rapiscan security screening systems, including X-ray, CT, Checkpoint, and Trace Detection technologies.
• Respond to service call-outs and provide onsite support across customer locations in the North West, North East, and Midlands.
• Deliver remote technical support to customers and distributor engineers, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Logistics, and Quality teams to support installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete service documentation, maintenance records, and non-conformance reports accurately and on time.
• Support customer demonstrations and provide technical feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.
