Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Field Service Engineer, specialising in Scientific Optical Lasers, to service, install, repair and calibrate high-value laboratory systems across pharmaceutical and research environments.

You should have a background in field service or technical support on capital equipment, electronics qualifications, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Experience as a field service/technical support engineer on high-value capital equipment.
• Electronics qualification required; background in diagnostics, medical devices or laboratory systems is welcome.
• Full product training provided; diverse backgrounds may apply.

Responsibilities

• Service, installation, breakdown repair and calibration of scientific/lab systems.
• Travel to customer sites and provide on-site technical support.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• A competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics
• You may have experience of working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, pre-press, printing or high value electronic / electro-mechanical capital equipment
• Full product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service and customer support, your application will be considered
