Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Field Service Engineer for scientific optical lasers. You will service, install, repair and calibrate high‑value scientific instruments across laboratories and pharmaceutical environments.

The role requires a technically motivated, customer‑focused engineer with electronics qualifications, and full product training will be provided. Experience on diagnostic systems, medical devices, or high‑value electro‑mechanical capital equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• A background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer.
• Experience with high value capital equipment preferred.
• Electronics qualification required or equivalent.

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer, responsible for the service, installation, breakdown repair and calibration of a wide range of sophisticated scientific and laboratory systems, utilised within laboratories and pharmaceutical environments.

Your Background - Field Service Engineer, Scientific Optical Lasers

To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• A competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics
• You may have experience of working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, pre-press, printing or high value electronic / electro-mechanical capital equipment
• Full product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service and customer support, your application will be considered
