Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Field Service Engineer specialising in scientific optical lasers. You will service, install, repair and calibrate high‑value laboratory systems across pharmaceutical and research environments, ensuring uptime and customer satisfaction.

The role requires an electronics qualification and proven field service experience with capital equipment. Full product training is provided. Benefits include a Company Car, Healthcare and a Contributory Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• Background as field service engineer with experience on high value capital equipment.
• Experience on diagnostic systems, medical devices, or laboratory/scientific equipment is a plus.
• Full product training will be provided; all backgrounds will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, breakdown repair and calibration of scientific optical laser instruments.
• Work across laboratories and pharmaceutical environments with a customer-focused approach.
• Maintain documentation and work within safety and quality guidelines.

To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• A competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics
• You may have experience of working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, pre-press, printing or high value electronic / electro-mechanical capital equipment
• Full product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service and customer support, your application will be considered
