Job summary

TOMRA UK is seeking a Field Engineer to support our Reverse Vending Machines and recycling technology across the North West and North East. You will install, maintain, repair, and optimise equipment at customer sites, working safely and with autonomy in a hands-on role.

You will travel between sites, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, record service activity, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in electro-mechanical systems and ability to analyse, test, and repair complex equipment.
• Curious, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Customer-focused approach with clear, confident communication skills.
• Comfortable using power/tools independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and manage a field-based schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines at customer sites.
• Support installation, commissioning, and rollout of new machines across the UK.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues; perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Build relationships with customers and site contacts, providing professional service.
• Travel within your region to support customers, with potential overnight stays.
