Carrier Rentals is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment, including pumps and generators, across depot and on-site locations in Peterborough. The role emphasizes health and safety compliance and a clean, organized workspace to ensure equipment meets safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will service field and depot assets, perform major overhauls, and travel to customer sites with a 1-in-4 on-call schedule.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators or diesel engines.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in M&E or an apprenticeship.
• Full UK driving licence or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing pumps, generators and diesel-powered equipment in depot and field environments.
• Prepare and inspect depot equipment to ensure functionality before deployment.
• Carry out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call rota (1 in 4).
