Job summary

Plantforce Rentals Ltd is seeking a Mobile & Workshop Service Engineer for the South West. The role focuses on servicing and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment, primarily from our Exeter depot with some work from the Liskeard depot and others as required.

You will perform routine servicing, monitoring fluids, preventative maintenance, fault reporting, and parts fitting, with opportunities to engage with our digital division on GPS systems and related innovations.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical knowledge and practical maintenance skills.
• Awareness of risk assessments and method statements.
• Able to work both in a team and independently.
• Proactive approach with self-motivation.
• Strong communication and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated initiative in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of construction equipment per manufacturers schedule.
• Lubricant and fluid monitoring and replenishment.
• Preventative maintenance and monitoring.
• Fault reporting and issue escalation.
• Cleaning, inspecting and preparing plant for transfer or redeployment.
• Fitting replacement parts and assisting larger maintenance tasks.
