Job summary

Apogee Corporation in Reading is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to deliver high-quality service support to a diverse customer base. You will conduct visits, diagnose faults, install and calibrate equipment, and provide training to customers. This role requires DBS and SC clearance.

This position offers a Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30 schedule with a one-hour lunch, fully remote at client sites. Attendance at offices is required periodically for meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineer on MFD printers.
• IT knowledge to network devices and set up scanning functions.
• Ability to provide first-class customer service with client-facing experience.
• Experience in a target-driven environment.
• Smart and presentable at all times.
• Willing to undertake training on new product lines (e.g., laptops/ PCs).
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service visits to address reported calls and maintain high standards of professional service support.
• Respond to customer service requests for repair of business equipment.
• Diagnose faults and implement repairs via adjustments, cleaning or spare parts replacement.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, provide detailed reports on work and outcomes.
• Install equipment sold by the company and ensure optimal performance for customer satisfaction.
• Provide training and guidance to customers to maximise equipment efficiency.
• Manage spare parts and consumables inventory to support service operations.
