Job summary

Advanced Vision Technology, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our EMEA Service team and support AVT customers across the UK. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot AVT’s advanced print inspection systems at customer sites, provide technical support and training, and work closely with our regional and global support teams to ensure a high level of customer service.

This is a customer-facing role that combines hands-on technical work, problem solving and regular travel.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic qualifications required.
• Hands-on field service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills essential.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working directly with customers and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose technical issues and provide effective on-site and remote solutions.
• Train customers on the day-to-day operation and maintenance of AVT systems.
• Work closely with the Regional Service Manager, Sales and global technical support teams to resolve customer issues.
• Complete detailed service reports following customer visits.
• Coordinate spare-part requests and returns when required.
• Support customers throughout the UK and travel within Europe when needed.

Qualifications

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

• Electrical, electronic or related technical qualifications
• Previous experience in a Field Service Engineer or similar hands‑on technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting and logical fault‑finding skills.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and drawings.
• Experience working directly with customers and resolving technical issues.
• Good knowledge of PCs, operating systems, software applications and networks.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally within Europe.
