Job summary

Getinge is hiring a Field Service Engineer for Surgical Workplaces, covering the Newcastle to Carlisle corridor in the North of the UK. The role focuses on servicing and validating medical equipment, with a strong emphasis on customer relations and safety.

Qualifications

City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
HTM01-01 certification (desirable).
Experience in service and validation of washer-disinfectors and autoclaves (desirable).

Responsibilities

Cultivate a positive rapport with customers with courteous, professional conduct at all times.
Carry out routine servicing of equipment.
Perform routine validation of Getinge equipment to relevant standards.
Fault-find electrical and mechanical issues on equipment.
Calibrate equipment where necessary.
Maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts.
Produce quality documentation for submission to the customer.
Maintain regular communication with the Service Department.
Ensure correct returns and non-conformance procedures are followed.
Organise and prioritise a changing workload and respond to customer calls.
