Job summary

Getinge is looking for a field-based service technician in the UK to perform routine servicing and testing on Getinge products, establish customer relations, and ensure equipment safety and calibration. The role covers field-based work in the South East region with Essex as a base, supporting the service supervisor and sales team.

You will conduct electrical/mechanical fault finding, manage spare parts stock, and provide timely written reports and expense documentation.

Qualifications

• Good general IT knowledge.
• Previous knowledge and experience of service/testing medical devices to the appropriate standards.
• Self-motivated and flexible to adapt under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Genuine interest in people and ability to deal with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• To cultivate a positive rapport with the customer, demonstrating first class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• To carry out routine servicing of Getinge equipment to the relevant standards.
• To carry out routine testing of Getinge equipment to the client contracts.
• To carry out electrical/mechanical fault finding of equipment.
• To calibrate equipment where necessary.
• To maintain stock levels of spare parts within guidelines.
• To produce quality documentation for submission to the customer via approved systems.
• To maintain regular communication with the internal Service Department.
• To ensure equipment is used and kept in safe condition; report faults to Service Supervisor.
• To organise and prioritise a changing workload and respond to calls and enquiries.
• To provide written reports and submit expense claims on time.
• To assist team members as required.
• To observe Health & Safety policies and Quality Management Systems.
