Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices

Job summary

Getinge is seeking a Field Based Service Engineer to service and test a range of Getinge medical devices across the Essex/South East region. You will maintain strong customer relationships, perform routine servicing and calibration, and report faults and non-conformances promptly.

In this role you’ll travel to customer sites, work to the highest quality and safety standards, and provide clear documentation and technical reports to the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Good general IT knowledge.
• Previous knowledge and experience of service/testing medical devices to the appropriate standards.
• Previous experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within a medical, pharmaceutical or other process industry.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Flexible and able to adapt under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Genuine interest in people and ability to deal with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of Getinge equipment.
• Carry out routine testing of equipment to the standards stated in client contracts.
• Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding and calibration.
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts and ensure proper documentation.
