Job summary

Getinge is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service medical devices across the South East UK, including London. This field-based role requires a self-starter who can manage workload independently while collaborating with the Service Office and Managers.

You will train with the in-house team and progress through the Engineer competency-based pathway, building strong customer relationships and ensuring equipment performs to standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in a field or equivalent experience.
• Experience of field-based work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience (GForce).
• Strong work ethic and organisational skills.
• Team player with initiative; willingness to travel and work away from home.
• Flexibility to adapt under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customers with courteous, professional interpersonal skills.
• Carry out routine testing and mechanical servicing of Getinge equipment.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues.
• Produce quality service documentation for customers.
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts and organise call-outs.
• Provide validation reports within required time frames.
