Job summary

Strive Supply Chain Services Ltd is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for Basildon, Essex. You will travel to customer sites across the UK to install, service, maintain, diagnose and repair laser engraving machines, keeping equipment operating safely and effectively.

Both experienced field service engineers and career changers are welcome. If you lack field service experience, you will receive structured in-house training and supported qualifications (BOHS P601 where appropriate).

Qualifications

• Clear communication and a genuine commitment to good customer service.
• Practical ability, attention to detail and curiosity about how equipment works.
• Calm, methodical approach to problem-solving and fault-finding.
• Self-motivation, reliability and confidence working independently.
• Willingness to travel from Basildon to customer sites throughout the UK.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, installation, or technical-support is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair laser engraving equipment at customer sites
• Use a logical approach to diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults
• Explain work clearly to customers and represent the business professionally
• Complete service records and follow relevant health and safety procedures
• Plan travel and workload effectively while working independently in the field
• Work with colleagues to resolve more complex issues and share technical knowledge
