Job summary

CV Technical is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service and maintain CNC machinery at customer sites across the UK and internationally. You will work from home base with regular travel to client sites, solving technical issues and supporting automated steel processing equipment.

The role requires a strong background in CNC, machine tools, laser cutting, Beckhoff PLCs and servo drives, plus the ability to work independently in the field. A customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC, machine tool, laser cutting background.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Ability to work directly with customers in field locations.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and fault finding on CNC machinery.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Working with CNC control systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Fault finding on Beckhoff PLC systems.
• Diagnosing issues with servo drives and control systems.
• Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working on CNC laser cutting equipment.
• Attending customer sites throughout the UK and internationally.
