Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Service Technician to install, service and support specialist food processing machinery across the UK, including Telford. This hands-on field role involves fault-finding, maintenance and customer liaison to keep equipment running efficiently.

You will work with engineering and technical teams, travel extensively, and ensure high standards of health, safety and service quality. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with field service engineering in food processing or industrial machinery.
• Ability to fault-find mechanically and electrically.
• Comfort reading electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service specialist machinery at customer sites.
• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to customers.
• Maintain service records and documentation accurately.
• Identify parts needs and plan preventative maintenance.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and installations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
