Job summary

Kraft Recruitment seeks an experienced Service Engineer to install, commission and upgrade food process machinery across UK and international sites. You will write on-site software and provide remote diagnostics, plus telephone/email support for breakdowns.

The role requires an electrical/electronic/control engineering qualification, and hands-on field service experience with 3-phase installations. Travel nationwide and abroad is expected, with workshop work when not in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled service engineer.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic/control engineering.
• Proven field service experience on electrical/mechanical machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits for installation, commissioning, training and upgrades.
• Write, debug & commission software on site for production line integrations.
• Provide remote software diagnostics and support for breakdowns and upgrades.
• Offer telephone and/or email support for machine breakdowns.
• Update support log with service/spares/installation enquiries.
• Liaise with Spares/Service Administrator to keep customer status updated.
• Provide technical support to customers via email/phone.
• Coordinate with Spares Team for quotes on parts and/or support.
• Complete in-house documentation such as test plans and validation documents.
• Collaborate with in-house teams to resolve build and design issues.
