Job summary

Rubix UKII is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join our field-based team in the UK. This permanent, full-time role involves servicing, repairing and refurbishing rotating equipment on client sites.

You will dismantle, reassemble and test equipment, document findings and support on-site safety and quality standards. A time-served apprenticeship and UK driving licence are essential, with flexible hours to cover reactive work.

Qualifications

• Mechanical apprenticeship completed with ONC/HNC/NVQ or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ field-based experience.
• Flexible hours to support reactive operations.
• Basic H&S knowledge on a production site.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Multiskilled electro-mechanical capability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to H&S policies and procedures at all times to ensure safety.
• Maintain an organised and controlled workspace.
• Conduct root-cause and fault-finding analysis on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Document findings and recommend repairs or spares in customer reports.
• Undertake on-site maintenance, repairs and refurbishment when required.
• Dismantle, refurbish, rebuild and test equipment.
• Re-install rotating equipment and perform field tests and commissioning.
• Provide routine service and maintenance on client sites.
• Attend breakdowns on clients’ sites.
• Work in the company workshops as needed.
