Job summary

Rubix in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated engineer to fault find and rectify defects in hydraulic and electrical systems across both site and workshop environments.

You will carry out basic electrical testing of AC and DC components, support reclamation and reverse engineering, and work with pump systems including hot oil and water. A 24/7 rota and site experience are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Flexible and prepared to work the hours required in a demanding 24/7 service orientated environment.
• Participate in call-out rota as required.
• Site/workshop experience on-site is a distinct advantage; CCNSG passport preferable.
• Health and safety considerations are at the forefront.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Fault find and rectify defects and worn/damaged components.
• Perform basic electrical testing to assess AC & DC conditions.
• Identify and rectify faulty components; understand reclamation techniques.
• Work on pump systems including hot oil and water, with basic hydraulic knowledge.

About the Role:

• You will have the ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn / damaged components
• Have as a minimum basic electrical testing capability to assess electrical condition of AC & DC components
• Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn / damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options
• Pump experience namely hot oil, water, also basic hydraulic knowledge

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

• You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment
• Participate in call out rota as required
• You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
• Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do
• You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative
