Job summary

Rubix UKII is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to service, install, and diagnose a range of industrial air compressors across customer sites in the UK. You will perform servicing, preventative maintenance, and fault finding on rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressors, with focus on reliability and uptime.

The role requires practical engineering ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a wide range of compressor types and manufacturers.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, control systems, and compressor controllers.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up and commission compressors, air treatment equipment and systems.
• Carry out maintenance and routine servicing on compressor systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-system faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure and perform root cause analysis.
• Record service reports and provide clear recommendations for remedial work or improvements.
• Work safely to comply with health and safety requirements and maintain housekeeping standards.
