Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to embark on High Voltage training and become a technical expert within UK electrical distribution technology. The role involves servicing and installing monitoring equipment on National Grid sites, with fast-tracked HV authorisation.

You will train from Glasgow and travel UK-wide, staying away 3-4 nights a week. Once qualified, you will lead jobs, train other technicians, and contribute to critical UK power network reliability.

Are you a Field Service Engineer from an Electrical background looking for structured training and paid-for courses to become a technical expert in High Voltage electrical distribution technology?

Do you want a role where you'll work away from home 3-4 nights a week working on National Grid sites up and down the UK and be rewarded through a lucrative bonus scheme?

In this role you will go through fast-tracked High Voltage authorisation training to work on some of the most interesting projects across the UK. You will be servicing and installing high-tech condition monitoring equipment used to predict outages in the UK Power network. Once certified, you will be helping lead jobs and train up the next generation of electrical Technicians.

This company have built a profitable niche within monitoring equipment used to prevent and detect anomalies across the UK's electrical distribution Network. Off the back of an influx of work, they'll look to expand the team to keep up with demand.

This role would suit a Field Service Engineer from an Electrical background who is comfortable staying away from home 3-4 nights per week looking for funded training to become a technical expert on High Voltage technology.
